Assembly Crisis: Southern, MiddleBelt Assembly Warn Plateau Stakeholders

By: Chuks Collins, Awka The non-governmental political pressure group under the aegis of Southern and Middle Belt Alliance (SaMBA) has warned the eight lawmakers behind the purported removal of the Speaker of Plateau House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba to retrace their steps immediately in order to avoid severe consequences. The SaMBA’s warning came in a letter dated November 2,2021 which was delivered to these lawmakers who were reported to be brains behind the illegal and surreptitious attempt to remove the Speaker and other principal officers of Plateau Assembly, on 12th November 2021. BREAKING: Plateau Speaker impeached, security operatives takeover Assembly complex

There was palpable confusion at the Plateau state House of Assembly following the alleged removal of the Speaker, Ayuba Abok. It was learnt that eight lawmakers out of the twenty-four members of the Assembly carried out the impeachment at the Assembly after they reportedly entered the complex as early as 6am on Thursday. And was immediately replaced with the lawmaker representing Pengana constituency, Yakubu Sanda of the All Progressives Congress.
