Another woman identified simply as Maimuna has allegedly killed her husband known as Malam Nasiru Dagana during a fight in Edo State. The latest development is coming barely one week after news of a woman who allegedly stabbed her husband to death in the State broke out. 2 arrested in Bauchi for dumping decomposing body of woman, child into sewage

Two men have been arrested by police operatives attached to the Bauchi State Command for criminally dumping the decomposing body of a pregnant woman into sewage. The suspect Lamido Gunduma was said to have conspired with his friend Ishaq Abdullahi, to dump the body of a decomposing lady, Jamila Saidu and her child inside sewage in Unguwar Yari-Mari, Jamaare, Bauchi state. The Lagos State Ministry of Justice will prosecute 229 suspects arrested by the police for allegedly using the #EndSARS protest to destroy and loot public and private properties in the state. This was made known in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday by Mr Kayode Oyekanmi, the Ministry’s Director, Public Affairs. A 21-year old man, Onyeamachi Mmaju has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his landlord in Ogidi, Ani-Etiti in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The suspect was said to have stabbed the deceased, Nonso Umeadi Oyiboko with a knife following an altercation. An FCT High Court on Monday sentenced Maryam Sanda, the woman who stabbed her husband to death, Bilyaminu, son of a former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Haliru Bello, to death by hanging. Delivering judgment, Justice Yusuf Halilu, convicted her on circumstantial evidence. The killing was premeditated, the police said. The police accused Sanda of stabbing her husband with a broken bottle at about 3:50 a.m. on Nov. 18, 2017 The police also accused Maimuna Aliyu, Sanda’s mother; Aliyu, her brother, and Sadiya Aminu, her housemaid, of tampering with evidence by cleaning the blood and other proofs from the crime scene, but charges were later dropped.

The FCT Police Command has arrested the Chief of Ushafa in Bwari Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Baba, following the alleged killing of a police officer by a mob at his palace. The command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Anjuguri Manzah disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja. The wife of Zimbabwe’s vice president was remanded in custody on Monday after appearing in court to face charges of fraud, money-laundering and attempted murder of her husband. Marry Mubaiwa, 38, who is the wife of Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, 63, was arrested by Zimbabwe’s anti-graft commission on Saturday. She was initially detained on suspicion of contravening the country’s exchange control act and of fraud. Mubaiwa appeared in a Harare court on Monday and was held pending a December 30 hearing. She did not speak at the court but her attorney told local media they would apply for bail.
