By: Awesome Ekene The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Anambra State on Tuesday said it has placed embargo on allowances of over 630 ad-hoc staff engaged in the November 6 governorship election in the state. The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji who disclosed this in a press briefing said the decision followed officers' failure to return some of the devices and materials issued to them for the exercise. He said the missing materials which were in their hundreds were mostly components of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), including scanners, power packs, cables and other accessories.
