A male Child was on Tuesday knocked down and killed by an unidentified driver of a Toyota Sienna Space wagon car with registration number LSR 748 GN.
The fatal accident occurred when the child was crossing the road along Ihiala road opposite Starch mill ULI Ihiala at about 2.00pm.
Report has it that the crash was as a result of excessive speeding and loss of control.
The male child was said to have been rushed to God’s Favour Specialist Hospital by FRSC rescue team from Ihiala command but was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.
Meanwhile, The Anambra State Sector Commander of FRSC, Andrew A Kumapayi(CC) has sent his condolences to the deceased family.
Kumapayi has again warned motorist to avoid speeding especially in built up areas.
He also advised motorists to use common sense speed limit to prevent road traffic crashes which are avoidable.
