Speaker Pelosi Blasts Trump And Republican Senate.

Sequel to President Donald Trump’s acquittal on the two articles of impeachment yesterday, by the Senate with the Republicans dominating, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi fires from all cylinders.

The first article had 52 votes against 48 in favour of Trump and the second article also led to his acquittal.

Pelosi who had earlier on stage tore her copy of the State Of The Union speech (SOTU 2020) made by Trump outrightly rejected the processes’ outcome.

The President had declined the Speaker’s handshake when the latter ushered him on the podium.

Below are her remarks!

“Our Founders put safeguards in the Constitution to protect against a rogue president. They never imagined that they would at the same time have a rogue leader in the Senate who would cowardly abandon his duty to uphold the Constitution

Because of the Republican Senate’s betrayal of the Constitution, the President remains an ongoing threat to American democracy, with his insistence that he is above the law and that he can corrupt the elections if he wants
