…the lecturer gave birth to Septuplet in Okija
Anambra State Government has supported Mr and Mrs Celestine Uzodike, the couple who gave birth to Septuplet in Okija with the sum of N15 million.
This support was made through Commissioner for Women and social Welfare, Ify Obinabo on Thursday when she visited the couple at Obijackson Women and Children Hospital, Okija.
Soludo had promised that his administration would provide massive assistance to the kids’ mother, a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, and his husband.
Presenting the cheque to the couple, Obinabo said State government was not only interested in the children’s well-being, but also that of their parents.
The Commissioner, while thanking the hospital management for their support and kind gesture towards the couple and the children, reassured government’s continued readiness to ensure adequate protection of children and women in the state,
Responding shortly after receiving the Cheque, the visibly excited couple thanked government for its timely intervention, just as they appreciated wife of the governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo for making women and children her priority.
