An Army officer was murdered in a non-combat incident in Enugu over the weekend.
The officer was killed along the Enugu-Makurdi highway at about 11.30pm on Friday, August 7.
The military officer by name Sergeant Bulama Aji was serving at 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Jos, Plateau State, and was killed while traveling back to Jos.
It was gathered in a report that the deceased officer who the gunmen reportedly opened fire on, was dressed in mufti, after he identified himself as a soldier when the bus was stopped by the gunmen. He died on the spot.
