National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has said that Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development and programme was targeted at preparing Corps Members to acquire techniques necessary to create wealth.
Anambra State Coordinator, NYSC, Mrs Blessing Ekene Iruma, stated this at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area of the State while flagging off campaign to sensitise camp participants on importance of SAED to the society.
She said that aside making Corps Members wealth creation, SAED exposes them to techniques of becoming entrepreneurs.
The Coordinator added that training youths to have skills would equally reduce unemployment, increase gross domestic products and bring down the inflationary trend as well as minimize crimes.
She enjoined corps members to develop interest in SAED as well as strive to obtain loans from financial partners.
She emphasized the need for them to embrace SAED and develop the spirit of determination and perseverance and in no time they would become multi – millionaires.
