Siblings kill brother in Imo over money realized from Mother’s burial

The people of Umuolowoshe Umuoshiochie autonomous community in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state, witnessed a terrible incident, as one Mr. Remigius Obieshieke was murdered by his own siblings, Patrick Obieshieke, Chinonso Obieshieke and John Erieka, because of disagreement over the money realized during the burial of their late mother, Late Mrs Angelina Obieshieke, who was seventy five (75) years before her death.

According to a press statement from the office of the state commissioner of police, CP Isaac Akinmoyede, through the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, on the 22nd of May 2020, “upon credible information, operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters Obowo, moved to Umuolowoshe, Umuoshochie Autonomous community, Obowo and it was discovered that the above named persons killed one Remigius Obieshieke during a disagreement rising from money realized from the burial of their mother late Angelina Obieshieke, who was 75 years old.”

SP Ikokwu further disclosed that, effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects, while investigation has commenced in ernest.
