Shun corrupt practices to justify your appointment – CSO warns Anambra 5000 teachers

…says newly recruited teachers must justify their appointment, while shunning any form of truancy and corrupt practices

Anambra Civil Society Network (ACSONET), a foremost Citizens and Non State Actors stakeholders group has urged the 5000 newly recruited teachers to justify their appointment by being dedicated to duty, while shunning any form of truancy and corrupt practices.

Leader of the group, Prince Chris Azor made the remarks while responding to newsmen during the event that held at the prestigious International Convention Centre in Awka.

Comrade Azor who doubles as Coordinator, National Coalition on Improved Service Delivery (NACOISED) eulogized Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the successful recruitment and handing over of employment letters to the teachers.

He said, “We thank Governor for living up to the promise made in his People’s manifesto, to position Anambra as a centre of excellence for human capital development.

“The process of engagement was exceptionally transparent, with highest level of integrity. And it’s mind-blowing that this feat was achieved amidst dwindling resources and existential challenges of natural disasters.

“The newly recruited teachers must justify their appointment by being dedicated to duty, while shunning any form of truancy and corrupt practices. To whom much is given, much is expected.

“We pledge the partnership of Civil Society in monitoring the sector to ensure enhanced productivity and general service delivery.”
