Lagos State Government has announced another coronavirus death, bringing the total number of the virus related deaths in the state to seven.
The Lagos Ministry of Health via its Twitter handle, @LSMOH, said, “One COVID-19 death was recorded. This brings to seven, the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos State”.
The Commissioner of Health in the state, Prof Akin Abayomi, identified the victim as a 63-year-old male, who had no history of travel or contact with any confirmed case.
It was gathered that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday announced 25 new infections in Lagos, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 217.
The state has also discharged 70 COVID-19 patients, who had tested negative for the virus twice, to reunite with their families and members of society.
