The Divisional Police Officer of Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, John Ogbonna has said that the security of corps members serving in the local government is the priority of the Division.
Ogbonna dropped the hint while hosting Local Government Inspector, Mrs.Beatrice Anakwuo and representatives of the Corps Members serving in the area.
He listed some of the security measures put in place for orps embers and the entire community to include regular patrol in the community such as corps lodges, attending to distress calls among other professional strategies.
The DPO advised corps members to be security conscious by shunning any act capable of posing security risks to them.
“Feel free to approach or call me whenever you encounter any security challenge,” he said.
Earlier, NYSC Local Government Inspector, Mr Beatrice Anakwuo, intimated the DPO that the corps members were in his office to welcome him as a new DPO and to also seek his assistance in the area of their security .
