Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike has restated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring safety on the roads across the state.
Igwebuike who said this in Awka, in a press briefing, urged people of the State to observe traffic laws and regulations
She further enjoined motorists to avoid indiscriminate loading and offloading of vehicles on unauthorised sections of the roads and highways, just as she warned against drinking while driving.
She said, “Your safety on the road remains our priority and we have stated clearly that people should abstain from trading on the roads and other similar activities that could cause traffic congestion on our roads.
“Owners of abandoned, broken down vehicles and other wreckages on our roads are directed to remove them immediately in order to ensure safety of road users.”
