Reps candidate donates palliatives to flood victims, urges support for IDPs

‘Gwacham who donated the palliatives while visiting the IDP camp encouraged the victims to remain steadfast as their plight would soon be addressed’

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) flag-bearer and frontline hopeful for House of Representatives Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency, Lady Maureen Gwacham has distributed palliatives and relief materials to the victims of the recent water floodings in the riverine areas.

Gwacham who donated the palliatives while visiting the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Ayamelum LGA, with her Amazon team, encouraged the victims to remain steadfast and focused in their trying times as their plight would soon be addressed.

“We encourage you to remain steadfast and focused, never loose faith in God even in your trying times. I assure you that your plight will soon be addressed by the Solution Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and relevant stakeholders,” she added.

She however implored stakeholders irrespective of party affiliation, the clergy, captains of industries and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to come to their aid, including assistance such as medications, mosquito nets, blankets, food items, clothes, shoes, among other items to help relieve the victims.

The flood victims prayed for the benefactor and appealed to her to encourage relevant stakeholders to emulate her gesture.
