POST COVID-19: Lagos State University Resumes [See Dates]

The Lagos State University (LASU), has announced that its first year students will resume classes by January 11, 2021.

The reopening dates of the university released on Friday said until then, their classes will be online.

The institution said that students in terminal classes (400, 500 and 600-Levels) will resume on Monday, September 14, 2020 and they would have classes 9 am to 3 pm on week days only.

Also, the Masters and Ph.D students who is billed to have their classes on weekends only, are to return to classes on Monday, September 14, 2020.

Meanwhile, 200 to 500-Level students are to resume November 9, 2020.

However, Sandwich, Part-Time and diploma students are to resume November 13, 2020 for weekend classes only at the institution’s Epe campus.

The statement also mandated students and lecturers to wear their face masks, must have their hand sanitizers and LASU I.D Cards, without which they would not be allowed on campus.

The schedule said that all academic members of staff are to resume with students on Monday, while only non-academic workers from CONUAS Level 12 and above (except those on essential duties) are expected on campus.

Lecturers are to enforce mask wearing on students and ensure good ventilation in their classrooms.

Also, recreational and commercial activities will be limited on campus.
