Police Force Is Committed To Cope With Challenges – DPO 

KHYBER: The newly posted District Police Officer(DPO)of Khyber Salim Abbas Kalachi on Wednesday said that police force was committed to cope with all kinds of challenges to keep law and order maintained in the district.

Salim Abbas was speaking to the Police Darbar conducted at Police Lines in Shakas.He said that Khyber police was a well-trained force and always breavely performed their duty. He told the police officers and jawans to perform their duties honestly so that they could ensure citizens’ life and property protection. 

He said beside the training and capacity building of police force, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police department also established welfare funds for those police employees who need financial assistance. He said every year the distribute a handsome amount among needy police personnel on marit basis.

DPO said a number of police rendered life sacrfices and wounded in the line of duty. He said the sacrfices rendered by police would not go wasted. He said they were committed to keep the district safe for all and would not spare any criminal and outlaw. 

DPO Salim Abbas Kalachi and Suprintendent of Police Aslam Nawaz Khan distributed cheques of Rs.2.2 million among those police personnel and officers who wounded in militancy related incidents and lost their lives in militants attacks. DPO also handed over cheques of Rs,0.9 million to each family members of Manzoor Shah and Younus Afridi who were recently martyred in a suicide attack in Takhtabaig in Jamrud.
