The Imo state police command has arrested a notorious armed robbery/ kidnap suspect, Chukwuemeka Nnane, a.k.a No stain or Armouer, a thirty one (31) years old man from Umudeyi Oguta 1 in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state.
The DAILY VENDOR gathered that the suspect has been on the command’s wanted list since 19th of October 2019 for armed robbery and murder.
Briefing journalists recently at the state police command, the commissioner of police, Cp Isaac Akinmoyede, said upon his assumption of office a few weeks back, he and his men took some drastic decisions in crime fighting which has yielded instant results.
According to him, on the 4th of May 2020 at Umudeyi Oguta 1, in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, SARS operatives arrested one Chukwuemeka Nnane ‘aka’ No Stain aka Armourer ‘m’ 31 years old and recovered the following weapons. Fifteen live GPMG Special Ammunition, LAR rifle magazine, a police face-cap and a LAR rifle, which was hidden inside a shrine.
He further disclosed that, the arrested suspect has been on the command’s wanted list for murder and robbery. Adding that, the suspect belong to the notorious Ebuka Ukachukwu ‘aka’ Small witch gang of armed robbery/kidnapping who was declared wanted by the police command on 19/th of October 2019.
Cp Akinmoyede, further revealed that, the Suspect has confessed to the crime. Pointing out that, during arrest, he sustained gunshot injury on his lower left leg and he was rushed to the hospital where he was treated.
