The Niger State police command in Suleja, arrested a commercial vehicle driver, Abubakar Adamu with about 375 rounds of live ammunition and seven AK47 magazines destined for Kaduna State.
Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Command, Abiodun Wasiu said the suspect was arrested in Suleja on his way to Kaduna following a tip off.
He was reportedly driving a red Civic Honda car loaded with the ammunition before he was arrested.
On interogotion, he confessed to have taken an order to deliver the arms to a man in Kaduna.
He further confessed to be a member of a robbery and kidnap syndicate.
Police say he will be charged to court on completion of investigations.
Kaduna state have been witnessing lots of insecurity ranging from kidnapping, armed banditary and armed robbery.
Also southern kaduna have been in the news of recent over activities of armed bandits.
