Petrol/Power Hike: Nigerian Governors Set To Intervene, Engage Presidency

There are indications that the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), are set to meet with the Presidency concerning the recent increment in pump price of petrol and power tariff.

This was as the Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru, revealed to newsmen on Tuesday, stating that the country’s governors are highly perturbed over the protests that followed the increament.

The governor said: “We are soon going to meet with President Buhari over the pump price of fuel and power tariff rise and God willing, something good is coming out from the meeting.”

“I don’t want to preempt our proposed meeting with President Buhari over this issue, but I’m assuring you that we are going to mediate for the benefit of Nigerians,” he added.
