Pastor Adeboye Declined Speaking To Press After Meeting President Buhari

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, declined conversations with State House journalists after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed-door on Monday.

The meeting was held at the President’s office in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

At the end of the meeting, also attended by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to the President, Pastor Adeboye avoided interactions with the media.

The meeting commenced around 3:00pm on Monday and ended within few minutes. However, Pastor Adeboye did not address State House correspondents.

Nothing has also been heard on the part of the Presidency, which normally issues statements detailing the outcome of such meetings.

The meeting may not be unconnected with the controversial section of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA, which the President signed into law on August 7, 2020.

The DAILY VENDOR recalls that the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), had stated that those crying over the new CAMA is doing so in vain, as there no going back on the law.

The new act, according to CAC, was only waiting for an official gazette to be implemented.

The RCCG, among many other churches, have warned against CAMA.
