Orphans, poor children get winter package in Landikotal

…says Islam taught them to be kind and help orphans and the poor

LANDIKOTAL: Teachers Union in Landikotal distributed winter package among orphans and poor children in state schools on Tuesday.

President of All Teachers Association(ATA) Sharifullah Afridi went to a number of government-run schools in Landikotal and distributed shoes and sweaters among 140 orpahns and poor boys and girls students. 

Talking on the occasion,Sharifullah Afridi said that children were the future of the country who need proper education and loolafter. He said most of the poor families had enrolled their children in the state schools as they could not afford to admit them in expensive privat schools. 

“A large number of children from lower middle and poor families are on the streets who should be enrolled to secure their bright future”, said Sharifullah. He added that more than five hundreds children were involved in transporting goods from and to Pakistan via Torkham border. He said many of them got killed and injured in traffic incidents in Torkham in the past few months.

He said Islam taught them to be kind and help orphans and poors around you. He urged rich people and philanthropists to come forward and help needy children.
