Organic Fertilizers’ Supply: Agro Firm Canvasses Government Partnership

An Indigenous Firm dealing on organic fertilizers, ChrisGold West Africa Ltd, is seeking government partnership on supply of organic fertilizers to enable farmers adopt improved technology and innovation for sustainable agricultural productivity.

Managing Director of the Firm,Chris Onyeri who led his team on a courtesy Call on the State Commissioner for Agriculture,Dr Forster Ihejiofor, explained that they considered it worthy to embark on a national campaign to encourage the use of organic fertilizers.

Receiving samples of the products from the team,the Commissioner noted that the state government welcomes partnerships and collaboration for acceleration of the state’s agricultural sector growth.

Dr Ihejiofor, then, requested the Firm to present evidence of certification by relevant authorities,cost profile as well as register with the Ministry to enable it deploy the organic fertilizers to end users using appropriate extension methods in the four agricultural zones in the state.

Earlier, Managing Director of the Firm stated its commitment to blaze the trail in organic fertilizers in the nation, expressing readiness to help the state fast track her agric economy sector.

He explained that the products,”Bio-Ag For Crops and Livestock” are purely 100 percent organic and safe to be used in all types of farms for production of organic foods for healthy living.

“We guarantee higher yields in both crops and livestock,heathy soil, natural plant and animal health and beneficial to human health”

A Member of the Team,Chief Greg Okehi, underscored the need to utilize the affordable products to alleviate the challenges faced by farmers in sourcing organic fertilizers in the state.

“This is the only organic fertilizers in Nigeria that has mother culture added, filled with microbes and micro nutrients, making it a product that is 100 percent organic with long shelf life,” he added.

The meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs Ifeyinwa Uzoka and the Head of Department, Planning, Research and Statistics,Mr Ekene Adokwe.
