One injured in Kolkata daylight shootout

Again, today in day light a shootout took place at Keshab Chandra Sen Road of Kolkata, capital city of West Bengal. This time, two miscreants shot at one Deepak Das when he was inside one shop. Deepak is a promoter and according to the police sources, he was involved is some land related dispute. This shocking incident took place near the close distance from the Amherst Street Police station. Amherst Street area is in the north part of Kolkata.  The Police told The Daily Vendor Newspaper correspondent that today afternoon, first the two unidentified persons came to meet Deepak Das while he was inside a shop and it is learned from the sources that the two sides have been arguing for some time. 

Meanwhile, the miscreants suddenly shot at the promoter Deepak. After hearing gunfire, the locals rush to the place but by then, however, the two had left the scene. 

It is learned that the bullets hits Deepak in the neck and head. Meanwhile, both the miscreants had left the scene. Deepak Das was rushed to Calcutta Medical College in critical condition.

Amherst Street Police launched an investigation as soon as they came to know about the incident. According to police sources, footages from every nearby CCTV camera is the area is being scrutinized. However, the police are not sure about the exact reason. It is observed by the police in the CCTV footages that Deepak’s one relative named Rakesh Das shot at Deepak. It is also known that there was another person was accoupling him. The shooting is believed to have been triggered by some business feud. Police suspect that the shooting was carried out as planned. A search is on for the accused. According to Deepak’s family sources, he had been at loggerheads with some people over business for some time. The police are looking into aspects.
