Ondo Guber: PDP Announces National Campaign Council

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced its national campaign council for the Ondo State governorship election scheduled to hold on 10th October.

In a statement by the party on Wednesday, August 26, the PDP through its national spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, named Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state as the chairman of the campaign council.

The opposition party also named Governor Bello Mattawale of Zamfara state as the deputy chairman while the list also saw Mallam Abdullahi Maibasira emerge as the council’s secretary.

According to the statement, the campaign council will be inaugurated virtually on Friday, August 28, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja via zoom.

Other notable members of the council are Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state, Governor Benedict Ayade of Cross River, and the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri.

Others includes Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and a host of top chieftains of the party.

The DAILY VENDOR reported earlier that Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), had defeated other rival aspirants at the PDP primary, to emerge as the party’s standard bearer, and will contest keenly with the incumbent governor and several other parties.
