It was who is who in Umudinkwa, Umudim-Nnewi in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State following burial of Sir Francis Mmaduka, the Akaekpuchife Nnewi, an uncle to the chairman of Coscharis Motors, Chief Cosmos Maduka.

Top dignitaries from political, business and religious world apparently shut down the industrial city of the state as they paid their respect to late Maduka who joined his ancestors at the ripe age of 98.

Among eminent Nigerians at the ocasion included, Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, Sen Uche Ekwunife, Prince Emeka Arthur Eze na Ukpo, Innocent Chukwuma (INNOSSON), renowned businessman and United Airlines Boss, Obiora Okonkwo and a host of others.

Testimonies rained from mourners on how the late F.O Maduka impacted lives and served his community without blemish. Late Maduka was also extolled for being a role model, a peace builder and an elder who supported efforts for the unity and peaceful co-existence of the people of Nnewi.

In a homily, Archbishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev. Jonas-Benson Okoye reminded Christians of the need to be conscious of eternity  and sincere relationship with God.

He also advised the faithful and the children of the deceased to live a holy life and follow in the footsteps of their  late father, who kept the faith alive.

The Chief Mourner and first son of the deceased, Chief Chris Maduka in a speech described his late father as an Icon, a disciplinarian, a self actualized person who lived his life in three folds; spiritual, social and economic spheres.

Chief Maduka said the death of his father has created a big vacuum to the larger  family but promised to keep the legacies of his father alive.

Also speaking, the first daughter of the late patriarch, Lady Monic Okwuosa, described his father as an epitome of humility, a devout christian and a caring father not only to his biological children but to everyone around him.

The grand son, Engr Peter Emeka Maduka who expressed so much goodwill and memories with his late grand Pa, describing him as a dedicated community leader, God-fearing and devout Christian.

For his daughters inlaw, Dr Stella Maduka  and (Barrister) Mackys Maduka, their father was a courageous and dedicated christian,.

They promised that his legacies will remain ever green in the history of the Maduka Family.

Speaking on behalf of his grandchildren,  his frist grand child, Dr. Ada Maduka said the family takes pride in the accomplishments of her late grandfather, who made discipline and time management his watchwords, adding that he truly left his footprints in the sands of time.

Former Commissioner for Environment in Anambra State, Mr. Evaristus Uba who spoke on behalf of the members of Knights of Saint John International KSJI, encouraged the family to uphold the legacies of Sir FO  Maduka.
