National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra state has challenged Corps members undergoing training under the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development to have multiple streams of income.
The State Coordinator, Yetunde Baderinwa gave the advice during the inter platoon SAED competition and exhibition held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu today.
She said the acquisition of the skills would prevent over dependence on regular paying jobs as the same time empower the corps members and others economically.
“The reality of unemployment in Nigeria has made it pertinent for corps members and other individuals to acquire skills that will prevent over dependence on regular paying jobs so they can empower themselves and others economically,” she stressed.
Baderinwa further encouraged the corps members to take advantage of various sources of funding put in place by the Federal Government for corps entrepreneurs with little or no interest rate, assuring the determined of ease of accessing such funds.
