Nigeria joins League of Nations with over 1000 Coronavirus cases

With the confirmation of 114 new cases of #COVID19 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Nigeria is now among the League of Nations with over 1000 cases as her total commutative figure has now risen to 1095.

This is without any result from Kano which is an epicentre but the NCDC laboratory there has been out of use for three days now.

The breakdown of the new cases are as follows:

80 in Lagos
21 in Gombe
5 in FCT
2 in Zamfara
2 in Edo
1 in Ogun
1 in Oyo
1 in Kaduna
1 in Sokoto

NCDC announced that “As at 24th April, Nigeria has recorded #COVID19 confirmed cases in 27 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”

In the last 24 hours, number of new cases increased by 114. Number of deaths has increased by 15; cases previously recorded in Lagos are now recorded as Ogun state cases.

Total discharged now stood at: 208
Deaths: 32
