New Imo CP, Akinmoyede officially assumes duty

The newly posted Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede has officially started work as the commissioner of police in charge of Imo police command.

The information was contained in a press statement by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando in Owerri on Monday, May 4.

Ikeokwu said the
command is using this medium to inform the general public that a new Commissioner of Police has been posted to the Command. He is CP Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede, adding that, he takes over from the immediate past Imo commissioner of police, CP Fafowora Bolaji Olaniyi, who according to him has since retired.

He further stated that the new CP, Isaac Olutayo Akinmoyede hails from Lagos State, and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in the year 1988.

Adding that, he holds a Bachelor Science Degree (B.Sc) in Chemistry.

SP Ikeokwu told THE DAILY VENDOR that CP Akinmoyede had served the Force in various capacities and in different commands and formations, until his recent posting to the Imo state command, he was the Commissioner of Police Plateau State.

It will be worthy of note that, the new Imo police boss, CP Akinmoyede, assumes duty as the Thirty-Sixth (36th) Commissioner of Police of Imo State Police Command.
