LANDIKOTAL: Police recovered Ice drug from its hidden cavities after a brief gunfiring on police party in Landikotal tehsil in district Khyber,police said on Wednesday.
Addtional Station House Officer(SHO) Fazal Rahim Afridi said that they flaged a pick van coming from Landikotal side at Charwazgay police check post. He said they flaged the vehicle to stop but the smugglers did not stopped and crossed the check post barriers very fast.
He said police chased the vehicle for several kilometers in Khyber locality.
“During the chasing the smugglers opned gun firing at police mobile van which was responded immediately”said the police officer.
Fazal Rehman said after a brief gun firing from the smugglers side but police remain safe in it.
Smugglers left their vehicle behind and fled from the scene. Police took the pickup van(SU-157) in their custody and recovered 10.5 kilograms of Ice drug from its hidden cavities.
Police regestered FIR against Muzamil son of Aslam Shah. Police teams started raids on various targeted places to arrest the culprits.
