A commercial motorcyclist sustained serious injury in a motor accident along Owerri- Onitsha road, Oraifite, Anambra state.
The accident which occurred around St. John’s Catholic Church involved a Green Volkswagen Passat car, a red 911 M/ Benz and a green Suzuki motorcycle.
According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred as a result of loss of control when the Volkswagen driver wrongfully overtook the truck and crashed into the motorcycle.
The Ag. Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kamal Musa said four persons were involved in the crash.
He however said no life was lost.
He said, “One male adult was injured in a serious crash involving a Green Volkswagen Passat car with registration number SNC 69 AAA, a red 911 M/ Benz with registration number ACA 379 ZP and a green Suzuki motorcycle with registration number BBG 307 VQ recorded near St John’s Catholic Church Oraifite along Owerri- Onitsha road.
“A total of four (4) male adults were involved in the crash. One male adult the motorcyclist who sustained injury was rushed to Oraifite health center by FRSC rescue team from Oraifite Unit Command while obstruction is being cleared. No life was lost.”
