More trouble for CARITAS University as VC resigns, DVC dies

Non payment of salaries at the Caritas University, Enugu has claimed more casualties as the Vice Chancellor Prof. Vincent .C. Okorie resigns his appointment.

It was gathered that his resignation is not unconnected with the vexed salary issue.

The Vice Chancellor may have thrown in the trowel to wash his hands off the torture staff have been subjected to.

Notwithstanding that the students having paid their school fees to date staff salaries have been withheld for several months.

Our source said that students have continued to have uninterrupted online lectures, assignments and quizzes in the university’s online platform provided to the lecturers.

The hardship bedeviling the workers had allegedly become worrisome since the death of a radio presenter in the institution’s radio (Caritas FM) and currently, the demise of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Dr Jude Edeh, who happened to be a relation to the University visitor/Owner.
