Anambra monarch confers chieftaincy title on CP for ridding community of kidnappers

The outgoing Commissioner of Police in Anambra State Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye has been conferred with a chieftaincy title of DIke Ọchịọha 1 of Ogbunka Kingdom in Orumba South Local Government Area of the state by the Traditional Ruler, Igwe J.M. Anyaoha.

The Commissioner’s wife, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, was also conferred with the chieftaincy title of Adadịọramma 1 of Ogbunka on Sunday at the palace of Igwe Anyaoha of Ogbunka community.

Ogbunka was one of the communities in the State where the CP and his men destroyed several kidnappers’ and criminal hideouts and made rescues and recoveries that brought about relative peace and security of lives and properties of the people.

In Ogbunka community alone, three kidnap victims, including a reverend father were rescued and three suspects arrested, while three Pump Action guns, 9 vehicles snatched on gunpoint were recovered in one day.

CP Aderemi who would be retiring from Nigeria Police Force on May 1this year, having served in the Force for maximum years of 35, had earlier had a street named after him, as well as another chieftaincy title conferred on him in the state, for his numerous achievements in the State.
