The Anambra State Police Command on Thursday says a missing child has been found in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Haruna Mohammed (CSP)
He said at about 11:47am, a good samaritan brought a female child of about five years old
to Ogbunike Police Station noting that the child is about two feet tall, dark in complexion without tribal mark.
Mohammed said that the girl was found wandering around Nkwelle junction, Orsile in Ogbunike,Oyi LGA of Anambra State and could neither find her way back home nor state where she came from.
The PPRO said that the child is presently in the protective care of the Ogbunike Divisional Anti human trafficking unit pending identification of her parents or guardian.
He appealed to anyone with useful information about the found child to report at Ogbunike Divisional Police Station or contact PPRO Anambra State Police Command through GSM no 08060970639.
