A corpse of a young man was reportedly found dead inside a commercial tricycle popularly called Keke at the back gate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, Anambra State.
The body of the deceased suspected to have been murdered by cultists in view of certain bruises on his legs and other parts of his body, was said to have been dumped at the scene around 2.52pm on Wednesday.
A eyewitness who preferred anonymity said she sighted the body of the deceased on her way out of the hospital.
“The tricycle and the dead man were not there when I parked my car at about 12.pm to visit a sick relative at the hospital. I suspect the murderers must have dumped the corpse few hours later,” she said.
When contacted, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said he was not aware of the incident, but promised to alert concerned officers of the Command for immediate action.
