Man bags 2 years imprisonment for malicious damage, threat to life

…The Daily Vendor learnt that the convict was found guilty of malicious damage and threatening violence to fellow kinsman

A middle aged man, Chief Festus Egbuonu has been jailed for 2 years for malicious damage despite his bragging.

Chief Festus Egbuonu who prides himself as Obi Ezeliorah of Obiuno Otolo Nnewi, was found guilty of malicious damage and threatening violence to fellow kinsman by an Nnewi Chief Magistrate Court following the wanton destruction of his kinsman’s property.

Egbuonu was convicted also of threatening his victim through harassing SMS texts.

 

The Chief Magistrate found the use of excessive force and desire to make his kinsman fear for his life reprehensible.

Witnesses in court said that Mr Festus Egbuonu often acts out of spite and jealousy, hence he frequently attacks family and friends. 

The law having prevailed hopes to put sanity within the community and remind everyone of the rule of law and order.

It was an embrassment for the traditional ruler of Nnewi and oldest monarch in Anambra state, Igwe Kenneth Orizu, his cabinet Chiefs and all Nnewi North Indigenes.
