Malami identifies Federal Lawmaker as Sunday Igboho’s Financier

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami has disclosed that an investigative report showed that the major financier of  Sunday Adeyemo (aka Igboho) is a federal lawmaker in the National Assembly.

Malami made this disclosure on Friday while addressing a press conference in Abuja on Investigation Reports On Acts Of Terrorism And Allied Offences Perpetrated By the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu And Report On the Sponsors And Financiers Of Sunday Igboho And Associates.

The AGF was however silent on the identity of the said federal lawmaker.

According to Malami, the report revealed that Igboho is the owner of a company, Adesun International Concept Limited through which he received a total sum of N127, 145,000.00 from his financier between October 22, 2013 and September 28, 2020.

The minister also revealed that N273,198,200.00 transaction outflows was recorded from Sunday Igboho’s account between March 15, 2013 and March 11, 2021.

According to him, report which has been submitted to the federal government found connections of financial transaction between Adesun International Concept Ltd and some construction companies and businesses among others.

Malami said investigations revealed that Adesun International Concept Ltd registered on 23rd April, 2010 transferred N12, 750,000 to Abbal Bako & Sons, a company allegedly being probed for terrorism financing activities.

“It might be recalled that Abbal Bako & Sons and its promoter Abdullahi Umar Usman are suspects in the on-going Joint Terrorist Financing Investigation. Abdullahi Umar Usman is, by way of financial transaction, connected to Surajo Abubakar Muhammad (who was sentenced to life imprisonment in UAE on charges of financing terrorism (Boko Haram),” Malami said.
