Lone auto crash in Anambra leaves two critically injured

A lone motor accident involving a Hyundai SUV occurred on Sunday at Uga roundabout in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The DAILY VENDOR learnt that the crash which happened on Sunday night was a result of excessive speed.

Confirming the report, the Sector Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, RC Pascal A. Anigbo, said two occupants of the vehicle, a man and woman were rushed to the hospital by good Samaritans.

Speaking in a statement, Anigbo said “Another lone Road Traffic Crash (RTC) caused by Over-Speeding was reported to have occurred around 8pm today Sunday 31 May, 2020 at Uga Roundabout, Aguata LGA, Anambra State.

“The vehicle involved, a black coloured Hyundai Jeep with registration number AA234WER had Two occupants (1male adult and 1 female adult). Both sustained some degree of injuries, they were rushed to an unknown hospital by good Samaritan before the arrival of the FRSC rescue team from Igboukwu Unit Command.

“The Sector Commander Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi warns drivers against driving above stipulated speed limits. Drivers should drive defensively and apply common sense speed limit, especially within built-up areas. Road Traffic Crashes are avoidable.”
