Lawmaker trains 50 indigent women, youths on cosmetics, solar installations, others

Over fifty indigent women and youths have benefited from another batch of Skill acquisition training by Member representing Ogbaru federal constituency, Anambra state, Hon. Prince Chukwuka Onyema.

The beneficiaries were trained in all types of baking, cosmetics making, solar insulation and repair solar installations and maintenance, soap making, car washing soap, liquid soap, baking, body spray among others.

Speaking during the training at Anibueze town hall in Ogbaru local government area of the state, a consultant Mr Onu Sunny Evans advised the participants to maximize the programme to aquire skills that would better their lives.

“I urge you to take advantage of the programme to aquire skills that will better their lives and always put food on their table without waiting for white collar jobs. Even if it comes, the skill learnt today will be a support.

“You may also need to find where to fix yourselves in other to perfect what you have learnt. If you make yourself available, you will not need to look at other persons’ money.”

Responding, the beneficiaries who provided with handouts, exercise books and bags expressed gratitude to the benefactors for his magnanimity.

One of them, Chidubem Nwankwo was full of joy for participating in the training, saying he learnt how to install and service Solar light and other electric appliances.

The programme was sponsored by National Centre for Energy, Research and Development, University of Nigeria Nsukka and engineered by Hon (Prince) Chukwuka Onyema, representing Ogbaru federal constituency.
