…some protesting labourers seen on the floor holding frontier corps vehicle
LANDIKOTAL: Labourers and dailywagers on Saturday observed protest demonstration at Torkham border against frontier corps repeated physical abuse of labourers.
Torkham border labourers union president Farman Shinwari said that frontier corps personnel brutally trash labourers and dailywagers. He said it was not the legal authority of frontier corps to search passengers’ luggages. He said cuatom authority was responsible to seiz non-custom paid items.
Meanwhile, a number of labourers lied down the frontier corps vehicle as protest in Torkham border.
Farman Shinwari appealed from Inspector General(North) and interior ministry to take notice of frontier corps illegal seizers and passengers’ luggages and issue orders the frontier corps personnel at Torkham to stop their illegal involment in the civil affairs and abusing the poor dailywagers who frequently cross the border.
