The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has appointed a new Emir into the Kano Emirate Council.
This was made public in a tweet by the state government Tuesday evening.
THE DAILY VENDOR reports that the state governor appointed Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, Kaigaman Rano, District Head of Kibiya the new Emir of Rano, following the death of the former Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar.
The state tweeted “Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa, Kaigaman Rano, District Head of Kibiya, as new the Emir of Rano. Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila, died on Saturday in Kano at the age of 74.”
