Operatives of Edo State Police Command on Wednesday arrested a thirteen year old boy for allegedly murdering his 80 year old father.
The Public Relations Officer(PPRO) of the command, Bello Kontongs(SP) said that the boy committed the offence on Sunday and is now in custody awaiting trial before the juvenile court.
Kontongs warned young people against anger adding that they should also avoid the use of hard drugs.
In another development, the PPRO said that an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) serving with the command on Sunday night neutralised two armed robbery suspects who attacked him.
The PPRO urged Edo residents to shun crime stating that the command is committed to a constant fight against criminality in the state.
