India deploys K9 Vajra to thwart Chinese military aggression on the border. This time the Red Army bases along the Line of Actual Control in the hilly areas will be the target of these sophisticated and destructive artillery.

The K9 Vajra Self-Propelled Artillery is a very effective weapon that was inducted into the Indian Army in 2018. K-9 Vajra has been deployed for the first time in Ladakh.

The Indian Army has deployed the first K9 Vajra self-propelled howitzer regiment in the Ladakh sector along the Line of Actual Control with China. The gun can strike enemy targets at around 50 km.

According to military sources, China is continuing its aggressive activities in East Ladakh despite the bloody clashes in the Galwan Valley. As a result, India has moved along the Line of Actual Control to retaliate.

On Saturday, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund told Naravan that a regiment of K-9 lightning cannons had been deployed at the border. He said, “K-9 lightning cannon was made for use in the plains of Rajasthan and Punjab. However, given the situation in Ladakh, the cannons have been modified to allow them to operate in mountainous areas.

L&T has developed cannons in the country through technology transfer from South Korean arms manufacturer Hanwha Defense. At present the Indian Army has 100 lightning cannons. This sophisticated tool is capable of hitting up to 50 kilometers.

Earlier, the Army had successfully tested a K-9 lightning cannon in Kargil. It is to be noted that there has been tension between India and China over the border since last year. After several meetings between the two sides, the issue is still unresolved.

This was again proved after a recent statement by Army Chief Manoj Mukund Naravan. Despite talks between the two countries’ armies more than once, China is still deploying troops along the border. Recently, the army chief Naravane said so.

The Chinese army removed the temporary camp from Gogra and Hotspring. The process of retreating the army also began. Army Chief Manoj Mukunda recently visited the Line of Actual Control in East Ladakh. He said China was betraying even after peace talks.

Troops are being deployed again in sensitive areas of Ladakh, and the People’s Liberation Army is also stockpiling weapons.
