A twenty seven years (27) old man, Duru Maduabuchi, from Umunchi autonomous community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State has been arrested by the Imo state Police command for Armed robbery.
According to a press statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, on the 25th of May 2020, operatives of the command’s Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) based on credible intelligence arrested the above named suspect (Duru Maduabuchi) while he was trying to rob one Edith Blossom of her personal belongings at Ubomiri.
It further disclosed that, the suspect was arrested in possession of a locally made pistol , adding that, he has confessed to the crime and other crimes within and around the area.
Ikeokwu said, investigation is at advance stage, and the suspect will be charged to court accordingly.
