Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the November 6 Governorship election in Anambra, Mr Valentine Ozigbo said he would deploy his manifesto tagged ‘Ka Anambra Chawapu’ to set example of what good governance should be if elected.
Ozigbo gave the assurance at Asaba, Delta state during a roundtable meeting with Anambra people and other friends of his living in the State.
He said he decided to contest for the exalted seat in the state to change the state’s story and that of the Igbo man.
“The ‘Ka Anambra Chawapu’ manifesto is a well thought-out development plan, designed to help make Anambra competitive in all good indices of governance, focusing on the key sectors that have the capacity to fix unemployment in the state,” he said.
Describing the feedback he had been getting from the people as encouraging, the PDP candidate pledged to enter into pact with the people of the state that would enable him fulfill all his promises if elected.
The President of Anambra people in Delta state, Comrade Victor Mbanefo said although their association is non-partisan, they have decided to work for Ozigbo and the PDP to ensure that Anambra is restored to the path of greatness and prosperity.
A Federal lawmaker, Obinna Chidoka, a former PDP aspirant, Lady Chidi Onyemelukwe and a Deltan, George Orogbu said Ozigbo was prepared for the journey from the beginning, urging the people to take message of hope down to their communities to ensure that Ozigbo wins the election.
Ozigbo was on arrival at the venue recognized with chants of solidarity and acknowledgement by the mammoth crowd that came to receive him.
