IGA cries foul over on attack on Imo

The Nnewi chapter of Imo General Assembly (IGA) has decried the spate of attacks on government facilities in Imo State.

The Nnewi president of IGA, Chief Chinedu Igwe who was speaking with journalists on Wednesday said that there are so many contradictions about the attacks on Imo State as non of the groups like IPOB and ESN alleged to have perpetrated the attacks has actually claimed responsibility.

Chief Igwe who is also the CEO of Suzuki Don Group of companies said that he smelled foul play about the whole thing and that the truth about the issues in the state will later be exposed.

“You can’t trust these politicians, they may even burn down their own houses and be shedding crocodile tears that some other persons perpetrated the crime.

“I am not surprised about happenings in Imo State because when other states of the federation are having governors, our own state is having an administrator, we are unfortunate in Imo State because the popular choice of the people was removed in an unprecedented supreme court pronouncement and Gov Hope Uzodimma was imposed on us.

“Since he came on board as the administrator of Imo State, there has been many funny developments in the state which signified the fact that Sen Hope Uzodimma was working hard to satisfy his pay masters.” Chief Igwe explained.

The president of IGA however appealed to the individuals who are behind the attacks on Imo State assets to put an end to their nefarious activities and look beyond the incumbent administrator of the state who will sooner or later leave the the Government House.

“Government properties are our collective properties and heritage of Imo people and all hands must be on the deck to protect same.” He said.

Chief Chinedu Igwe while commenting on collapsed security in the country said that surviving a day in Nigeria of today has become a miracle which according to him is not good for business at all.

He noted that situation has gone so bad in Nigeria to the point that many Nigerians have started stockpiling food and other resources at home to prevent had I known in case of any eventuality.

Chief Igwe blamed the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their failure to fulfill their electioneering campaign promises to Nigerians and as well throw the nation into unnecessary tension through lopsided political appointments.

He appealed to President Muhamadu Buhari to throw in the towel if he is bereft of ideas to move the nation out of the woods that his administration has thrown the most populous nation in Africa.
