The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has said he made a wrong choice in choosing Hon. Agboola Ajayi as running mate in 2016.
Akerodolu and Ajayi has recently, been engaged in a running battle, leading to the latter defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he intends to contest the governorship election.
Akeredolu spoke at Igbekebo, headquarters of Ese-Odo local government during his “meet the delegates” tour ahead of next Monday primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He maintained that he was glad Ajayi exposed himself at what he called the right time and described his exit from the party as a cleansing for better performance of the party.
Akeredolu asked the people not to bother about Ajayi and appreciated them for not leaving the party with Ajayi.
He also urged the delegates to vote him at the primary and assured them he was ready to do more for the citizens of the state.
