Mr. Abraham Ingobere, the Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has rightly turned down the allegations that he escaped with the mace to thwart plans by Governor Douye Diri to have him impeached.
He said that the rumour circulating on social media platforms that he escaped with the mace during plenary was uncalled for.
Ingobere said in a statement that the rumors were made up “by jobless politicians whose stock in trade is to cause disaffection where there is cordiality.”
The Bayelsa speaker said the legislature under his leadership has a flourishing relationship with the executive arm of government.
