On the birthday of Pastor Adeboye’s wife, he had appreciated his wife by recounting how submissive and obedient she has been to him over the years.
There were a lot of criticism as a lot of people felt Pastor Adeboye was a dictator in his home and accused him of making his wife submissive.
Pastor Adeboye has finally come to address the issue.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God said he was only talking to his children, not other people.
He felt that the teaching he was trying to relay that day was for his children that would listen.
In his words, “As a matter of fact, if there is a way of preaching this sermon just to my own children alone, that is what I would have done.
“Not because I am selfish, but occasionally there are things you say to your children that will annoy outsiders. But I keep on saying, but I am not talking to you; I am talking to my children. But now lockdown has made the door open to everybody”.
