There was palpable tension on Thursday in the Ijanikin area of Lagos State, as hoodlums invaded the palace of Oloto of Oto Awori Kingdom, Oba Aina Kuyamiku.
Vehicles belonging to the monarch were destroyed, while some shops in the area were burnt.
A combined team of military and police operatives has beefed up security in the area.
What led to the faceoff between the monarch and the suspected hoodlums could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Efforts to get the police angle of the development did not yield any positive dividend as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Lagos State command could not be reached on phone.
