Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly launched an attack on Mafa Local Government Headquarters of Borno State.
The terrorists were said to have engaged Nigerian Security Forces in heavy exchange of gunfire.
Mafa is the home of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State and is located 40 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital.
Vanguard quoted an unnamed military source as saying that troops were battling to repel the attack as residents scampered for safety.
